Mahodaya Kannauj Rose

Legend has it that the preserver of the universe, Vishnu, scoured the world for radiant rose petals to conjure his wife Lakshmi. When Lakshmi came alive, her rosebud lips glistened with the morning dew, carrying the scent of roses. The rose considered a divine symbol lent inspiration to elaborate hydrating and moisturising rituals in Vedic India. Rosewater was sprinkled to soften lips, rose oil was applied as an emollient and rose extract-infused masks served as excellent astringents.
