Australian Tea Tree
22,000 years ago, along the subtropical Australian shores, lived the Bundjalung tribe who devised a unique system of plant-based medicine with a sacred tree oil called the Melaleuca. The tribe crushed the leaves of this tree to treat wounds, cure acne and keep fungal infections at bay. Their greatest therapeutic jewels were their healing lakes, formed by the falling dry Melaleuca leaves, which they immersed themselves in to cleanse, soothe and revitalise their skin.
